In 2022 it will be 35 years since the ERASMUS program was established by the European Union. The program has already given millions of students in Europe the opportunity to go on exchange. In honor of the 35th anniversary, the Royal Dutch Mint is minting a 2 euro commemorative coin in a coincard, the first since 2015. Two 2 euro commemorative coins may be issued per country, to be dedicated to a special theme or historical event. It has been 7 years since the last Dutch 2 euro commemorative coin was released. Edition only: 75,000 sold out!
